Is it ever possible to have too much screen? Samsung's new curved gaming monitor may have the answer. The 49-inch, 32:9 display may in fact be too large to fit on your desk. But if you can make room for it, you'll get the sort of ludicrous wrap-around view that can only be rivaled by strapping a headset to your face.

With a resolution of 3840 x 1080, the CHG90 is effectively two HD displays that have been fused together and curved. So while, yes, it is unspeakable large, it actually has less pixels than a 4K display which means it shouldn't require a super computer to game on it. It would obviously be ideal for racing sims or other games that support a multi-screen mode, but you might be hard pressed to find many games that actually support its wild 32:9 aspect ratio in a satisfying way. You could, of course, always just put a full-sized movie next to your full-sized game if you're into that.

Also you can look at a whole heck of a lot of Excel at once:

The CHG90 is available for pre-order today for the princely sum of $1,500. That might cost more than you computer itself, but it seems fun if you can afford it—and you can fit it on your desk.
