If you're a car enthusiast who's been frustrated with the lack of vehicle options, get ready for some good news: Ford has designed the latest car emoji and it's a cute little pickup truck that looks like a mix of a Ranger and older F-150 models.

The emoji, which was pitched to the Unicode Consortium—who were unaware that it was created by Ford—was short-listed by the organization and is set to be on iPhone keyboards by 2020. Interestingly, this isn't the first time that Ford pitched a pickup truck to the Consortium. Two years ago, they tried their luck but the proposal was turned down.

This time around, Ford teamed up with a marketing firm and a creative agency to create an updated version of the pickup emoji. It's reported that a subcommittee "provisionally" approved the emoji but another formal review is required before the pickup is officially added to the ever-growing emoji library.

Still waiting on that Bronco reveal, though...
